Who We Are
Our Origin
Michele Corengia and Danilo Serra set off on unexplored paths to think Palliative Marketing. On 30 April 2022 they founded the International Association of Palliative Marketing in Lugano to have a home where they can continue their dialogue with everyone who shares their vision and courage to be.
Michele Corengia,
PhD
President
Michele, after completing his Liceo Scientifico, studied Economics and Social Sciences at the Bocconi University in Milan, where he also earned a master's degree in Marketing Management, graduating with honors in 2016. In his Master's thesis he explored the application of some experiential marketing models to palliative care. He continued his training as a research and teaching assistant at Bocconi, before starting a PhD on Palliative Care Marketing in Lugano in 2018, concluded in September 2023.
Alongside his economic-managerial training and research in the palliative field, over the years he has cultivated his passion for writing and for some philosophical themes, which his life experience and his doctoral research have highlighted as being rooted in existence. In particular, in Ticino he had the opportunity to attend various courses in literature, philosophy and medical humanities, which completed his ten-year training.
Danilo Serra,

He carries out research in the fields of philosophy of biology, phenomenology, aesthetics and ethics. His research generally follow an interdisciplinary approach that aims to develop a broader and more complex vision of reality, in an attempt to overcome the fruitless opposition between the sciences and the humanities. His studies weave different narrative threads around the theme of the experience of care and have their fulcrum in the question of dwelling declined in its multiple aspects: “dwelling” in its ethical, aesthetic, phenomenological, physical, architectural, psychiatric, spatial, morphological sense, and so on. Since 2021 he has been a member of the American Daseinsanalytic Institute in New York, where he develops activities and research related to the so-called Daseinsanalysis.
